Law firm website cost FAQ

You can start for free on a b12sites.com subdomain. For your own domain, the Website plan is $49 a month (or $42 a month billed yearly), and the Website + Client Engagement plan is $78 a month (or $67 a month billed yearly) and adds client intake and eSignature. Invoicing is included on every plan, including the free one. New B12 users pay $1 a month for the first 3 months.

The Website plan includes a custom domain, a mobile-responsive site built by B12's AI, 200 AI credits a month, up to 20 launched projects, advanced team management, commerce and backend tools, website traffic analytics and reporting, third-party integrations, removal of B12 ads, and email and chat support.

Website + Client Engagement includes everything in the Website plan, plus the tools most law firms actually pay for: client intake forms, a contact manager, email marketing, contracts and eSignature, file uploads, a custom email address, and up to 30 launched projects. It also comes with 300 AI credits a month instead of 200.

No. The Free, Website, and Website + Client Engagement plans are self-serve, with no setup fee. If you'd rather have B12's team build and launch the site for you, the Professional and Advanced plans include an optional $1,999 one-time done-for-you setup.

B12's Professional plan is $199 a month ($169 billed yearly) and Advanced is $399 a month ($339 billed yearly), each with an optional $1,999 one-time setup where a team of designers, copywriters, and launch specialists builds your site for you. That's a fraction of the cost of a traditional web design agency, which can charge up to $50,000 for a law firm website with a similar feature set.

Credit card payments are processed at 2.9% plus 30 cents per transaction on every plan. International cards add 1%, as does currency conversion. Bank transfer and ACH payments are 1% per transaction, capped at $10.

The Website and Website + Client Engagement plans include 1 seat. Professional includes 1 seat as well, and Advanced includes 5 seats. Need more? Additional seats on Professional and Advanced are $39 per seat.

Email and chat support is included on every plan, and Professional and Advanced also include scheduled phone support. If you want ongoing copy or design changes made for you beyond that, additional copywriting and design services are available on Professional and Advanced for $75 an hour.

Yes. You can upgrade from Website or Website + Client Engagement to Professional (setup fee optional) or Advanced (setup fee required) at any time. If you already paid a setup fee, you can move between Professional and Advanced. Advanced and Professional subscribers can't downgrade back to a self-serve plan.

A template builder without built-in intake forms, contracts, eSignature, or invoicing usually ends up costing more once you add third-party tools to fill the gaps, and those tools rarely work together. B12's plans bundle those features into the website itself, so the real comparison is the total cost of running your practice online, and that's a different number than a template's sticker price alone.
